Supporting the Student Musician
The Music & Medicine Initiative provides medical students with the resources necessary to continue their exploration of music, including:
- Musical and medical mentors.
- Collaborators.
- Performance opportunities.
- Rehearsal space and equipment.
Instrument Donation
It can be expensive and difficult to transport an instrument to school. Do you have a gently used musical instrument that you are not playing? Your donation of a brass, woodwind, percussion or stringed instrument helps one of our medical students continue their musical life while studying at Weill Cornell Medicine. We accept working instruments in new or good condition, and provide donors with official tax receipts that describe the item(s) given.
To donate your instrument to the Music & Medicine Initiative, contact Nancy Amigron: naa2025@med.cornell.edu.
An Investment in Creativity
The Music & Medicine Initiative is entirely privately funded, and led by our faculty and students. We rely on the generosity of friends and patrons to endorse our programs and mission. Involvement is possible at all levels, and every dollar raised is directed to the program and its success.
